assumption that the future will be unkind unless (dammit!) we do something
about it, only irritates it, makes the future want to strike back at us.
We
may name the days of the week what we want, but naming them is no guarantee
they will come in the order we assign. This week, for example, Echtmittwoch preceded Dienstag.
